There is no denying that Bard and Lute are inseparable. These two brothers, each getting one of their parents' heights, are rarely seen apart. They work well together, with Bard being charismatic, charming, and protective, while Lute is sweet and very, very silly. Often times Lute has far more energy than Bard, who eventually gives in and joins his brother's antics. Bard is much more of an observer and enjoys watching others having fun, while Lute always has to be a part of everything.

Their abilities are vastly different as well. Bard as a knack for music, and his special ability is making anyone who hears his music dance - even people who would never ordinarily do so. Bard gets a kick out of turning arguments into dance offs, or changing someone's crying into dancing. Lute, on the other hand, is a terrible musician. Unlike the rest of his siblings, he cannot carry carry a tune, though he thinks he is a master musician. Everyone dreads when he gets his instrument out, as not only does it sound awful, but his music also causes physical pain. Bard tries his best to intercept with his own music, though when both are playing at the same time it is quite the odd mixture of feelings.

Bard is a smooth talker and has always been Lute's best advocate. Lute gets teased for a lot - be it his terrible music, his quirky personality, or his short height in his dog form - and Bard always stands up for him. Lute's music miraculously does not harm Bard, too, so Bard often goes out into the middle of the woods with him to let him play his music. And no matter how horrid it may be, he always gives him praise. They both enjoy long walks in the forest, playing with other animals, and just having a good time.
