The Hunters 2016 Litter

Mira's job was always fixing things. Fixing a broken leg. Fixing injuries following accidents. Fixing cancer. All of those skills were most important to her, and she had devoted many, many years to honing her skills as a doctor in regards to patching people up. No, more than that. Fixing people. Making them whole again. Erasing the damage brought on by failed missions, bad genes and everyday hazards. One thing she had never been able to fix was a damaged soul. Broken spirits just weren't in her realm of knowledge.

The idea crossed her mind, though. Was there a medical way she could fix a broken spirit? It seemed like there was with all of the developments in medicine and in her own abilities. One thing she could never quite get off her mind was why her brother, one of the kindest people she had ever met, was unable to have children due to injuries his wife sustained early in her life. He'd be a great father, she knew that. Everyone knew that. But how? How could she deliver something that both he and his wife had deemed impossible? That she herself had deemed impossible? She had delivered the bad news decades ago. She wanted to erase that.

I'll just create a way in which they do not need to make a child. I'll make that child for them.

The experiment went far beyond just giving them one child, however. She wasn't sure how well it would work creating babies from small bits of DNA. She wanted to ensure something worked out, so she collected DNA from many of the people closest to her and created, perhaps, the biggest success and mistake in her life.

When it worked - it worked in every instance.

Now she had a problem - what was she going to do with all of these experiments? Many of their parents already had children. All of their parent were already in relationships and certainly wouldn't care to have a child from someone other than their spouse.

Thankfully, she had created more than just children. She had taken the best genetics. The best skills. The best senses. She had been prepared for the experiment working too well in that regard, as they each would prove to bring skill sets that would make them highly desirable in the field of hunting and destroying. Just like many of the people Mira knew, these offspring would become some of the greatest at removing harmful and destructive creatures from the earth.

But who would take them on?

They exist. They really do exist. They are everywhere around us. In the forests, the valleys, the mountains... even in our own backyards and cities. But no one believes me. No one sees what I see or understands what I understand. I've been there, I've seen what they are capable of...

Morning Star, otherwise known as Star, is a bit of a nerd. And she believes in aliens, and supposedly hunts them. Her siblings think she is crazy. Then again, everyone does. After all, her reasoning for everything strange in the world is, of course, aliens. She hunts and disposes of these creatures who she assures everyone, are out to take over the world, one neighborhood at a time. If it weren't for her, she's certain there would be many more fatalities. She just hopes she is doing enough in the world to prevent that inevitable takeover no one else seems to understand is happening.

Star claims these extraterrestrial creatures come in all types and forms, much like the species here on earth. But they come from all over the galaxy, and their intentions are different. Sometimes there are good ones, who she leaves alone - but many times what she comes across are the bad ones. The ones that have realized Earth's potential and want to live here. Or the ones who simply think earth's inhabitants are tasty morsels. Those are the ones that terrify her the most.

Star is very indulged in studying everything extraterrestrial - from the creatures themselves to the planets they come from and the stars they travel by on their way here. Sometimes she keeps the creatures she finds in her laboratory so she can study them and their behavior. Of course, this laboratory is top secret so no one has actually seen the things she has there. She carries her trusted Morning Star everywhere, which she says is equipped with the latest alien destroying minerals. She also has a telescope on her at all times, along with other various pieces of equipment. She is an interesting character, to say the least.
